Independence Classical Academy is committed to offering a transformative, virtue-centered education—yet as a classical charter school, we face significant financial challenges that traditional public schools do not.
Each year, ICA operates with a funding gap of roughly $1,500 per student, creating an average shortfall of $1 million that we must generate ourselves through grants, fundraising, and careful budgeting. In addition, essential resources such as therapy services, food services, and our school resource deputy must be paid out of pocket, limiting our ability to increase teacher salaries, hire additional support staff, or build the infrastructure our students deserve.

But with roughly 55% of our students living at or below the poverty threshold, many need extra support to fully benefit from the opportunities ICA provides.
