Our Mission & Vision
Independence Classical Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free public charter school in St. Lucie County offering a classical liberal arts education for students in grades K-12. One of the unique opportunities at ICA will be the purposeful delivery of a developmentally-appropriate education that uses history as its organizing principle and is rooted in civic engagement. We will offer leadership programs for our students to have a strong understanding of virtue, community service, and gain a true entrepreneurial spirit.
We are proud to enhance the education profile in St. Lucie County and seek to deliver a new standard of excellence. Our governing board is comprised of experts in the areas of finance, business, public policy, and education, and are all Fort Pierce residents! We look forward to sharing our vision as we move through our planning year and work to attract the best teachers and staff to make our institution the best it can be.
We currently house students in grades K-8. Plans to expand grades 9-12 will begin in 2024-2025.
