Title I Parent Night

What does it mean to be a Title I School?  It means that a percentage of our students come from qualifying low-income families. As such, we are entitled to a portion of government funding to assist our students. Twice per year we will host an informational session to share with our families what our intention is with these funds, and how they will benefit your children!  Our first session is this week, Tuesday September 7th immediately following the Ag Committee meeting in the Cafeteria. You can learn about grant funded positions we are adding to our staff, tutoring opportunities, as well as supplemental assistance you can sign up for. We hope to see you there!

Our Mission & Vision

Independence Classical Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free public charter school in St. Lucie County offering a classical liberal arts education for students in grades K-12. One of the unique opportunities at ICA will be the purposeful delivery of a developmentally-appropriate education that uses history as its organizing principle and is rooted in civic engagement. We will offer leadership programs for our students to have a strong understanding of virtue, community service, and gain a true entrepreneurial spirit.

We are proud to enhance the education profile in St. Lucie County and seek to deliver a new standard of excellence. Our governing board is comprised of experts in the areas of finance, business, public policy, and education, and are all Fort Pierce residents! We look forward to sharing our vision as we move through our planning year and work to attract the best teachers and staff to make our institution the best it can be.

We will enroll students in grades K-8 in the 2020-21 school year, then building our high school program as we add a grade each subsequent year until we are a full K-12.
